What is the Law of Attraction?

The Law of Attraction as defined by Abraham-Hicks states that "you attract to yourself what you give your attention and energy to, whether wanted or unwanted". This means your thoughts, actions, beliefs, behaviours. But it starts with the thought which has an energy of its own. The Universe responds to what we think and believe. In that sense it is non judgemental and doesn't discriminate. The energy you give to your thoughts, actions etc determines your reality.

Have you ever had one of those days when nothing seems right? You get up "out of the wrong side of the bed" and then it just gets worse? You're late for work, miss a meeting, you forget your partner's birthday:.) Everything goes into a downward spiral. These days are quite common and we've all had them. Heard of the phrase "things come in threes" - this is a reference, although unacknowledged, to the Law of Attraction. And then you say "I wish I'd never got out of bed" - but the bad mood getting out of bed set everything in motion.

It's all to do with the vibration.

Hello?

Yes, it's our vibrations that determines what kind of life we create for ourselves. We don't use the word vibration much in this respect. But we do use the word vibe (which is only a shortened version) to describe our sensory perception about someone or a situation. It's got a good vibe about it. Also, you could cut the atmosphere with a knife. Instinctively, we all know about the fact that we vibrate and that humans are conduits of energy.

What we may not know is that Universe is also an energy and responds directly to the energy that we put out. You have that giddy feeling when you're first in love, or good things are happening to you. You feel enthused, inspired, creative, motivated, joyous - just damn good! Doesn't everything seem to fall into place and things go well for you? Riding the crest of a wave. All those fantastic feelings just help you get more good feelings and better things start happening for you.

This may seem a little simplistic or just unbelievable. But I'm certain that if you look back there have been instances in your life where you've experienced the benefits of giving out good vibes and the disadvantages of bad vibes. It's called the Law of Attraction, because it is universal and eternal. It is happening to all of us whether we believe it or not. Whatever you focus on you draw to you. So, if you are focused on something you do not want, you attract more of that to you. If you are focused on something you do want, you attract more of that to you.

The Law of Deliberate Creation

This means that once you understand the Law of Attraction, you can begin to deliberately create what you want in your life by consciously choosing your thoughts, ramping up your desire and getting in emotional alignment for what you want to create in your life. It's all about feelings. Once you become enthusiastic and desirous of what you want to create (without becoming attached to it, avoid feelings of "lack"), visualise about it, act "as if" it's there. It will come to you. No question.

The Law of Allowing

This is where a lot of us stumble. We ramp up our energy, visualise what we want to create in our lives - what we want comes to us - but we either don't recognise it or don't allow it in. Once you begin to know how to create - it can feel so easy, that we become suspicious of it. And we like to work hard and struggle right? Wrong. There are easier ways and what I'm doing is to work consistently with these processes to create the life I want.
